Insurance & Fees

Nourish works with several major insurance plans and also welcomes families who choose to pay privately. Because benefits vary by insurance company and individual plan, coverage and patient responsibility may differ from family to family.

Nourish is currently able to work with families covered by:

  • Aetna

  • Meritain

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield‍ ‍

  • Cigna

  • UnitedHealthcare & UMR

Coverage varies by individual plan and is not a guarantee of payment. Some plans may have visit limits, telehealth restrictions, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or other requirements.

Our team will help you navigate the process whenever possible, but we encourage families to become familiar with their individual insurance benefits.

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Nourish is directly in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Some BCBS plans or services may have specific requirements. Prisma Health Reedy plans are not currently accepted.

If you have questions about whether your particular BCBS plan can be used at Nourish, please contact our office before scheduling.

Cigna

Nourish provides covered lactation care for eligible Cigna families through our partnership with Wildflower Health.

If you have Cigna, please use the link below to check your eligibility and get started:

CHECK CIGNA ELIGIBILITY THROUGH WILDFLOWER

Once your eligibility is confirmed, you can schedule your visit with Nourish.

Collaborative Care at Nourish

Infant feeding and lactation care often involve both parent and baby, and sometimes benefit from more than one type of provider.

Depending on your needs, insurance plan, and the type of care being provided, your visit may include a brief check-in with our team pediatrician and breastfeeding medicine specialist.

Our collaborative model allows our IBCLCs and physician to work together when appropriate, keeping your feeding goals and the health of both parent and baby at the center of care.

You will be informed when a physician check-in is part of your scheduled visit.

Private Pay Fees

Insurance is never required to receive care at Nourish. Families are always welcome to choose private-pay care.

Prenatal Feeding & Lactation Consultation

90–120 minutes | $240

Individual prenatal preparation based on your feeding goals, health and feeding history, and plans for your baby.

Initial Infant Feeding & Lactation Consultation

90–120 minutes | $240

Comprehensive support for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, breastmilk feeding, combination feeding, formula feeding, milk supply, infant weight and growth, oral function, and other feeding concerns.

Follow-Up Consultation

Approximately 60 minutes | $120

For established families needing continued feeding support, reassessment, weight or milk-transfer evaluation, or adjustments to their existing care plan.

Home Visits

Home visits are available for families located within approximately a 30-minute drive from our office (60 minutes round trip).

A $100 travel fee applies to all home visits. The travel fee is not billed to insurance.

Private-pay families:
Initial Home Visit: $240 consultation + $100 travel fee = $340
Follow-Up Home Visit: $120 consultation + $100 travel fee = $220

Insurance-covered families:
Your eligible consultation services will be billed according to your insurance benefits. You are responsible for the $100 home-visit travel fee, in addition to any applicable copay, deductible, coinsurance, or non-covered services.

Home visits require advance scheduling so we can confirm your location, travel time, and provider availability.

Twins & Multiples

We are happy to care for families with twins and higher-order multiples. These appointments require additional time to appropriately assess and support each baby, so additional fees apply.

Please contact our office so we can help you schedule the appropriate visit.

Deposits, Payment & Intake Forms

A $65 non-refundable deposit and valid credit card on file are required when scheduling an appointment. Your deposit secures the two-hour appointment window we reserve specifically for your family.

Your deposit and all required consent forms must be completed before your visit can take place. If we have not received your deposit and completed forms prior to your appointment, your visit may be cancelled or moved to the next available appointment so that we can offer that reserved time to a family on our waiting list.

Your deposit will be applied according to our financial policy. For insurance visits, families are responsible for any applicable deductible, copay, coinsurance, non-covered services, or other patient responsibility determined by their insurance plan.

Our financial and cancellation policies are provided during the booking process and must be acknowledged before your appointment.

Out-of-Network Insurance, Health Shares & Superbills

If Nourish is not in network with your insurance plan, you can still receive care as a private-pay family.

Upon request, we can provide a superbill after your visit that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement. Your insurance company determines whether out-of-network benefits are available and what amount, if any, will be reimbursed.
